Brand Identity Design for a Parenting Coach
Consciously Raising is a small business with a big heart. It is a specialised coaching service for parents to develop an understanding and becoming confident in parenting with the help of the hand in hand framework.
Background & Goal
Founder Katinka Georgopoulos, based in South Africa, is a parent herself and through working in various industries she wanted to share her knowledge in a creative way. Her deep interest in psychology and unpacking her own story in order to raise compassionate and resilient kids, led her to parenting coaching with the desire to provide tools and support for parents.
Being active on Instagram with ‘Consciously Raising’ in this topic beforehand, Katinka will soon to be graduating in the hand in hand framework. Additionally, she is gaining knowledge in trauma related parenting.
The goal of the branding was to build a new visual identity to support her upcoming soft business launch on Instagram as an international English speaking online parent coach with a view towards a website to expand her business.
Design based on Strategy
Before embarking on any visuals, a brand workshop was our next step to get to know everything about Consciously Raising, her values, mission, goals, likes and dislikes. We looked into competitors and her space (positioning) within the parenting online coaching community.
This also lead to more clarity about her offerings.
I provided her with a ‘Roadmap’ (a summary of the workshop) which has the purpose of referring back to the core of your brand. This means thinking about who are you serving, what you are offering, the benefits, your niche and your brand personality. It’s there for you as a guide to keep your brand consistent and return to, to remind yourself of the Why, What, Who, How.
Visual Identity Design - Branding
Consciously Raising’s brand personality is welcoming, nurturing, reflective, helpful, intuitive and warm.
I started with the logo design which can be used in workshop materials and a website as a further stage.
The partly handwritten logo symbolises the personal and human theme of this coaching service. This was coupled with a sans serif font to show a modern, clear and consultative approach. The heart represents a connecting theme between coach, clients and parenting with children in itself.
The logo mark with the 3 uprising hearts symbolizes the connectedness between parent and children.

The colour palette was adjusted to bring out a warm and nurturing feeling. I created a set of pastel gradients as backgrounds to enhance a sensitive but safe feeling.
Instagram highlights and post examples help for a consistent brand look. Natural and organic illustrations leave room for mix and matching the post designs and staying within the brand design.
Brand Kit
The Brand Kit is a short summary and helps to stay consistent with your brand visuals.
Katinka will undoubtedly be the presence and heart of her business to her clients. It was a pleasure working with her on the brand identity.
She will launch very soon and I’m very excited for her to help parents with parenting tools and techniques to raise confident kids and build compassionate parent and children connections.
